MARY McKENNA, a genuine legend of Irish women's golf, was given a special round of applause at the GUI Champions Dinner at Carton House to hail the start of her two-year stint as president of the ILGU.
A multi-championship winner on the domestic scene and a regular on Curtis Cup and Vagliano Trophy teams, Mary has served the game with great dedication and service.
Her election to the presidency is a fitting tribute to the Donabate golfer's standing in Irish golf.
