One of the ultimate golf experiences in Ireland is now even more appealing to players of all levels.

The sheer beauty and captivating nature driving through the entrance of Powerscourt Golf Club is enough evidence to suggest you are somewhere special. It’s a monstrous area of staggering beauty that grabs your attention straight away with its long, windy road flanked by spectacular oak trees and a stunning valley and forest on the left.

Now the course has married cutting edge technology to it’s natural beauty to give golfers of all abilities an even better golfing experience on both of its stunning Championship golf courses.

To celebrate its 20th birthday, Powercourt has launched a new mobile app which includes online booking facility, online shopping, 3D course guide with Flybys and GPS measuring, live scoring, in app diary, rewards and course alerts.

With two challenging 18-hole Championship courses to choose from, the new cutting edge app is a welcome addition to what is already in place in the Eniskerry venue.

Powerscourt Golf Club Director Sarah Slazenger said: “Since the Club was founded 20 years ago we have constantly sought ways we can improve the golfing experience at Powerscourt for both members and visitors. With this in mind we have recently signed up for the ClubLink package from Golfgraffix which provides a range of essential information for our golfers in a convenient App.”

Gavin Hunt, Golf Manager, added: “Mobile technology is part of our daily lives and we recognize the importance of ensuring that Powerscourt Golf Club remains at the forefront of technological change. We are confident as we commence our 20th Anniversary Celebrations that our new App will further enhance our members and visitors experience of Powerscourt Golf Club.”

Powerscourt was voted Ireland’s top parklands course in 2014 and after one round on either the East or West course, it’s easy to see why.

On arrival at the club house, the stunning entrance is matched by a modern, spacious building with large pro shop and elegant changing rooms downstairs.

Upstairs is a lounge and restaurant that oozes class and if you want a more traditional, snug-like drink there is another smaller bar that offers the warmest of welcomes.

While a decent sized balcony overlooking the two courses, Powerscourt’s 19th hole is every bit as special as the 36 others out on the East and West course.

The East Course was designed by the talented golfer and successful Walker Cup captain Peter McEvoy, who brilliantly follows the contours of this mature and historic landscape.

It has hosted the 1998 Irish PGA, which three time major winner Padraig Harrington won in a playoff, and also the 2001 Irish Seniors Open.

The West course brings David McLay Kidd’s (Designer of Bandon Dunes in Oregan) experience and detail for a challenging, rewarding and highly enjoyable golf course to life.

Both courses come complete with a 12-bay practice area, putting green and chipping area. With a fabulous, five-star hotel to boot, Powerscourt is the perfect getaway for a weekend and just a short drive from the centre of Dublin.
