Harrington hit and miss
AMERICAN Steve Stricker showed just why he has soared to World No 3 with a superb six-under-par 65 in the second round of the US PGA Northern Trust Open at Riviera Country Club, Pacific Palisades, California yesterday.
Ireland's Padraig Harrington got his second round off to the best possible start when he birdied the par-five first. He added another at the third to move to one under, before dropped shots at four and nine saw him turn at one over for the tournament.
Stricker recorded seven birdies and just one bogey to move to 10-under 132, one behind American Dustin Johnson, who was four under through eight holes yesterday to follow up Thursday's seven-under 64.
