Good start for Dunbar

Alan Dunbar made a highly-promising start yesterday in his bid to secure a European Tour card.
The Northern Ireland man fired a three-under-par 69 at Roxburgh that left him in a tie for fifth place after the opening round of the first qualifying stage of the Tour School.
Dunbar, who fired four birdies on the trot from the third, is just one stroke off the lead shared by four players.
Rory McNamara is only a stroke behind Dunbar, while Gary Hurley is well placed on 71, an eagle three on the seventh being the highlight of his solid round. Also on that mark are Jonathan Caldwell and Colm Campbell with Richard O'Donovan a further stroke back.
At Fleesensee in Germany, Stephen Grant, has plenty of work to do after a disappointing opening 76.
