Wales' Lydia Hall holds a one-shot lead at the halfway stage of the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters as Dublin's Martina Gillen narrowly made the cut.
The 22-year-old from Bridgend claimed five birdies in her first eight holes, going round the front nine at the Emirates Golf Club in 31 shots.
Bogeys at the ninth and 10th were Hall's only blips, and she ended her round with two more birdies at the 17th and 18th for a five-under-par 67. That took her to seven-under overall, one shot better than Sweden's Anna Nordqvist, who shot a four-under 68 today.
It was a disappointing day for the Irish contingent, with Gillen the only one to make the cut, finishing on two-over par, three shots inside the cut-off point.
A six-over-par 78 saw Hazel Kavanagh miss out by one stroke, with Rebecca Coakley and Tara Delaney further back.
