Cutler eight off the pace
Paul Cutler remains the leading Irishman after the second day of the European Amateur Individual Championship in Finland.
But the Portstewart star will need to produce something special if he is to feature among the medals as he goes into the third round today eight strokes off the pace.
Cutler, currently 10th in the world rankings, fired a second successive level-par 72 for a 36-hole aggregate of 144.
He was steady rather than spectacular, carding level halves of 36 and recording two bogeys, at the opening hole and the 13th, and birdies at the third and 10th.
Rory Leonard returned a two-under-par 70, taking five strokes off his first round, for a total of 145, one-over-par overall.
Irish champion Dara Lernihan posted a 71 to add to his first round of 79 for 150 overall.
Cian Curley was also on 150 after a 74 yesterday, while Alan Dunbar is struggling on 154.
English champion Tommy Fleetwood and Denmark's Morten Madsen are setting the pace on 136, eight-under-par.
