RYDER CUP winner Paul McGinley has launched the St Eunan's College Centenary Golf Classic.

The Donegal college has strong links with the McGinley family as Paul's dad Mick was a student there, and indeed played on the St Eunan's GAA team in the MacRory Cup-winning team of 1956.

Paul was delighted to be able to assist his father's alma mater in preparing for the tournament, which will be the final event in the school's Centenary year celebrations.

Sigma Wireless Ltd, Mick's company, is sponsoring the prizes and Paul has donated a set of Taylor Made clubs and one of his 2006 Ryder Cup sweaters as prizes.

The Classic will be played on the recently renovated Letterkenny Golf Club and is restricted to 60 teams.

Entry costs ?240 per team or ?60 per individual.
