Castle to crown Matchplay heroes

CASTLE Golf Club is gearing up for the closing stages of the prestigious City Matchplay championship.

The event began last September and has now reached the last eight in the men's section and the semi-finals of the ladies competition.

The draw is: Men: Michael Curran (Tulfarris) v Stephen Finlan (Curragh), Declan Donnelly (Castlewarden) v Michael Murray (Castle), Fred Shackleton (Castle) v Barry Keely (Castle), David McNamara (Stackstown) v Brian Flanagan (Stackstown).

Ladies: Noelle Casey (Castle) v Joan Sheridan (Newlands), Amy Jones (Castle) v Helen Kinsella (Castle).
