Sports stars undertaking Twitter Q&A sessions are usually fraught with danger, but Rory McIlroy seemed to enjoy his impromptu interaction with fans.
On Wednesday the golfer was delayed while waiting for a flight and decided to pass the time by offering to answer as many questions from his followers as he could.
With more than 1.83 million followers on Twitter, the questions came thick and fast, with a wide range of topics covered, from who Man United should sign in the summer, to his favourite films to another marriage proposal, though Caroline Wozniacki can relax as the golfer politely declined the offer.
McIlroy said that he hoped Ireland would beat Wales this Saturday in the Six Nations, suggested that Man United should re-hire Alex Ferguson in the summer and that some of his favourite films include Superbad, Batman Dark Knight, Old School and Anchorman and that he goes to the gym five to six times a week.
McIlroy was also questioned as to who would win in a 100 metre sprint between himself and his fiancé and his response was one of sheer diplomacy.
“Me but she would kill me at endurance,” he confirmed.
