A state-of-the-art tuition centre unveiled at Glasson

If you feel your game could do with a tune-up, and certainly if you fancy combining that with a 'stay and play' trip to one of Ireland's classiest parkland layouts, it is worth checking out the brand new Golf Tuition Centre at Glasson Country House Hotel and Golf Club in Athlone, Co. Westmeath.
The state-of-the-art facility features both indoor and outdoor driving bays, two enclosed teaching bays, specialised custom fitting and video analysis such as Trackman - as well as offering a variety of tuition packages.
And with professionals such as European Tour player Colm Moriarty keeping close watch, you know you're in good hands.

The new facility is certain to be popular with keen golfers in the area, but it also provides a perfect opportunity for those on a 'stay and play' trip to spend some extra time sharpening up before, or after, playing this fine Christy O'Connor Jnr design overlooking Lough Ree.
There is already a separate short game area, but a revamp to bring it to USGA-recommended specifications is underway, and the upgrade is due to be unveiled in early 2017.
The new facilities required an investment of €600,000, and owner Tom Reid says: "We are totally committed to continue delivering outstanding customer service - and always with a warm reception and family atmosphere."
