Looking ahead to the hurling qualifiers, Mullane says the Waterford players are relishing the chance to play Kilkenny and get a first win against the Cats since 1959.

He also reckons Davy Fitzgerald would be better off spending more time in the stands while the panel discuss whether managers should be on the sidelines or further away from the pitch.

In football, David Brady says Mayo are naive and have no plan or shape and need more forwards with an eye for goal while, turning her attention to Cork, Anna Geary questions where the rebel fighting spirit has gone?
