McCaffrey faces McHugh in Sigerson classic
Independent.ie Sigerson Cup quarter-finals (Extra-time if necessary)
If reigning champions UCD are to become the first back-to-back winners since IT Sligo in 2004/'05, John Divilly's side must do it the hard way heading north for a cracking tie.
They're well capable with Jack McCaffrey and exciting Kerry youngster Jack Barry in their ranks but tournament favourites Ulster University, trained by Martin McHugh, pose a huge threat.
They stuttered past a dogged Garda College after extra-time but Ryan McHugh, Patrick McBrearty and Tyrone's Mark Bradley form part of a potent squad. While this could go either way, UCD have looked the more reliable.
UUJ v UCD, Jordanstown, 2.00pm
Odds: UUJ 4/6 UCD 6/4 Draw 8/1
DCU v St Mary's, DCU Sportsgrounds, 2.00pm
DCU are overwhelming favourites but must be on guard with Matthew Fitzpatrick, who scored the crucial goal against NUIG, and Down stalwart Kevin McKernan part of a strong Belfast side. Niall Moyna's charges, boasting Mayo's Patrick Durcan and Diarmuid O'Connor, should deliver the goods, however.
Odds: DCU 2/9 St Mary's 4/1 Draw 9/1
IT Carlow v UCC, IT Carlow, 6.00pm
Brothers Killian and Adrian Spillane, sons of Kerry legend Tom, bagged 3-5 between them against DCU-St Patrick's and form the spine of a star-studded UCC side along with Jason Foley and Cork's Ian Maguire. They should have far too much for an IT Carlow side which will need Rebel attacker Michael Hurley at his best to stay competitive.
Odds: IT Carlow 8/1 UCC 1/16 Draw 20/1
