“Donegal have the ability to stop Dublin playing,” says Alan Brogan on this week’s GAA Championship podcast, The Throw-In, in association with BoyleSports, on Independent.ie.
“They won’t fear Dublin and have the players to cause them trouble. Donegal do strike fear in the Dubs,” he added.
Brogan joined INM GAA correspondents, Frank Roche, Donnchadh Boyle, Michael Verney and Conor McKeon, as they previewed the mouth-watering quarter-final double header with Dublin v Donegal and Mayo v Tyrone.
The Throw-In team raised the issue of the GAA’s new football Championship proposals and asked whether it was a good opportunity to drive interest and attendances or merely the next stage in the haves v the have-nots?
John Mullane was also on the show to discuss Waterford’s chances against Kilkenny – and he believes the Deise can spring a surprise.
Martin Breheny and Roy Curtis went head-to-head on the issue for play and Liam Glynn from BoyleSports was on hand to give some value bets for the weekend action.
In the weekly charity bet, he was offering 11/1 on a treble of Mayo, Donegal +5 & Waterford +5 while the Throw-In team’s treble was Mayo, Kilkenny -4, Donegal +6..
