TG4 has been criticised for an advert which was accidentally leaked via its Twitter account.
The model in the ad appears to be cradling a pregnant tummy but is instead holding a football with the captain: 'The most important nine months of a woman's life.'
The Ladies Gaelic Player Association said: "The ad in question was made in 2009 but rejected. It was accidentally released on social media."
The response to the ad was mixed but largely negative.
The new ad for Ladies Football from TG4 is ignorant in the extreme. I've been lucky enough to be involved with teams and find it appalling.— Michael Gallagher (@MickeyGallWP) July 21, 2015
Sometimes you can try too hard, try to be too clever and lose sight of the aim. Think this TG4 ad fell into that trap pic.twitter.com/lMMldTFQ93— Joe Callaghan (@JoeCallaghan84) July 20, 2015
