4-12 is an impressive tally when achieved by a team over the course of a Gaelic football match, but one ladies footballer from Donegal was able to score it by herself in an All-Ireland colleges final yesterday.

The Donaghy Cup final was held in UCD between Letterkenny IT and Blanchardstown IT and Geraldine McLaughlin proved the difference in the Donegal institution's 4-15 to 3-15 win.

McLaughlin found the net four times and added 12 points to contribute all but three scores to her team's final total.

Amazingly, two of her goals were scored in the opening minute of the game.
