Tipperary’s goal scoring hero John ‘Bubbles’ O’Dwyer may have allowed the joy of dethroning Kilkenny as the All-Ireland Champions get to him when he used some fairly naughty language to describe his elation.

The Premier County took sweet revenge for the 2014 showcase at Croke Park this afternoon by defeating Kilkenny by 2-29 to 2-20.

Bubbles netted a fine goal as Tipp gave a masterclass in forward play against the Cats and, when speaking to RTE at the final whistle, he got quite excited, maybe too much so.

“2014 is forgotten about, we’re the champions in 2016.

“People were doubting this team. We knew exactly what we had in this dressing room and team in 2016. Everyone doubted us at the start of the year, we proved out doubters wrong tonight – we’re the champions of f*****g Ireland!”

His little slip of the tongue went around the Croke Park PA and the entire country. Comedian Dara Ó 'Briain decided to share the monent.
