Galway continued their impressive 2015 hurling championship with a comprehensive 2-28 to 0-22 quarter-final win over Cork in Thurles today, and while they had many strong performers, wing forward Johnny Glynn was the star of the show.

Glynn finished a wonderful solo run with a goal in the opening moments, and bullied the Cork defenders with his physicality all day as his side advanced to play Tipperary in the All-Ireland semi-final.

His goal was noteworthy but Glynn turned even more heads during his post-match interview on RTÉ.

Joanne Cantwell asked him about the perception that Galway only have ‘one forward’ in Joe Canning and Glynn momentarily forget he was on the air pre-watershed when delivering his reply.

“That’s f**king bullshit,” he said before immediately issuing an apology.

Far from being offended, people really enjoyed Glynn’s blunt honesty in the aftermath of a big win.
