Warwickshire finished with a flourish, scoring 1-5 without reply to see off Leitrim in Birmingham.

Padraig O'Donnell's free put Leitrim ahead but Warwickshire replied in style with four unanswered points by Ian Dwyer, Conor Robbins, Paul Uniacke and Liam Watson.

A penalty goal by O'Donnell in the 23rd minute restored Leitrim's lead, and Colm Moreton point helped the visitors to a 1-7 to 0-8 lead at the interval.

Their advantage was short lived, however, as Dwyer goaled within a minute of the restart followed by points from Watson and Dwyer, before David McGovern and O'Donnell (2) brought Leitrim level.

But the Connacht men did not score again as the exiles dominated the remainder of the game. A succession of points by Watson and Shane Caulfield, then a Uniacke goal, put Warwickshire into the final at the top of the table unbeaten in four games.

Their opponents will be decided next weekend when joint second place Sligo and Leitrim meet in a crucial playoff.
