Tipperary star John 'Bubbles' O'Dwyer took the opportunity to have a go at people who sent him hate-filled letters earlier this year.

O'Dwyer was in sparkling from yesterday, hitting 1-5, in the Premier county's nine-point victory over Kilkenny as they secured a first All-Ireland crown since 2010.

The 24-year-old caused a little bit of a stir yesterday when he announced on The Sunday Game that Tipp were 'the champions of f**king Ireland', in a heat of the moment outburst.

It hasn't been easy for O'Dwyer this year. He was sent off in the Munster semi-final victory over Limerick and didn't start another game for Michael Ryan's men until yesterday's finale.

He took to Twitter this morning to thank those people who stood by and supported him and took the opportunity to have a go at some people who had targeted him and his family earlier this year.
