Fermanagh and Longford served up a thriller at Brewster Park with the home side coming through by four points thanks largely to the brilliance of Sean Corrigan and substitute Daniel Teague.

Teague hit 1-3 during his 25 minutes on the field to go with the 10 points Corrigan registered.

Teague’s goal squared things up and from that point Fermanagh never looked back.

Longford’s Joe O’Brien was excellent throughout. The corner-forward hit 1-7 and set up Cathal Mullane for the first goal.

Paddy Farrington added a second Longford goal but this was wiped out when Rory Porteous struck.

Teague’s introduction swung the game in Fermanagh’s favour and his goal was followed by three quick points with John Duffy adding another green flag.

Leitrim 3-15 Sligo 2-13

Leitrim came from behind to claim a deserved win over Sligo in Carrick-on-Shannon.

The game turned in the home side’s favour when Padraig O’Donnell drove a 45th-minute penalty to the net.

Sligo enjoyed the better of the exchanges in the first half and led by 2-6 to 1-7 at the break. Goals by Sean Kenny and Mathew Davey gave the Yeats men the upper hand, while a Karl McDermott goal kept Leitrim in contention.

After the O’Donnell penalty Sligo fought back to level the tie with two Sean Kenny points and a Keith Raymond free tap-over, while Leitrim sub Zac Moradi chipped in with a point.

But Leitrim edged four points clear by the 62nd minute with Moradi firing over twice from play, while Clement Cunniffe and Padraig O’Donnell converted a free apiece.

Sligo hit back with a Ciarán Brennan point but a Moradi goal sealed it for the home side. Keith Raymond responded with points from a free and play but it was too late.
