Tyrone came from behind to win the decider at Keady, seeing off Monaghan with a nine-point salvo from captain Damien Casey.
Monaghan went four ahead in the opening stages, with Ronan Meegan converting three frees, but Casey settled Tyrone nerves with a couple of frees.
Gerard Gilmore slotted over a neat score, before Conor Grogan's long-range effort brought the sides level in the 22nd minute.
Stephen Lambe and Mark Winters traded points, and the sides were still deadlocked when Tyrone were awarded a penalty for a foul on Grogan on 32 minutes.
Casey's effort was kept out by corner-back Kevin Crawley, but he made amends with a 60-metre free which sent his side in with a 0-6 to 0-5 interval lead.
Tyrone made a strong start to the second half, going four ahead with Casey's first from play, but Lambe smashed home a 42nd-minute goal to bring the sides level.
But the Red Hands scored seven of the next nine points to take control with five minutes to play.
Monaghan full-back Peter Treanor was sent off on a straight red card five minutes from the end and victory was sealed by Casey's ninth score.
