Warwickshire had to fight all the way against a determined Leitrim despite the margin of victory in Ballinamore on Saturday.

The visitors had the best of the early exchanges scoring three points without reply but points by Clement Cunniffe(2) and John Ryan levelled matters midway through the first half.

However a 19th minute goal from Conor Robins led to a period of dominance by the visitors.

With former Clare minor star John Reddan, Liam Reale and Shane Morrissey in flying form they went on to score a further five points without reply and deservedly led 1-13 to 0-8 at the interval.

Leitrim fought back, but Reale's brace of goals - the first in the 56th minute and the second deep in extra time - sealed the result for the visitors.
