Pat English look towards 'step up' of Derry match
Carlow 3-12 London 0-7
Carlow made it two wins from two in Ruislip on Saturday, but Pat English is already focusing on another long-distance away day.
Having flown to London and back on the same day, the Barrowsiders must make the trip to Derry on Sunday week in a game that could prove crucial to their promotion hopes.
"It is going to be a step-up; they're probably a better team, going by things," English said.
"Again we're playing away - it's a five-hour journey. It's like coming over to London without the flight. It's another big task, but we'll take up the challenge."
Carlow proved far too strong for a London side that were without the majority of their Kilburn Gaels contingent, scoring three goals in 10 first-half minutes to secure their second victory in seven days.
Martin Kavanagh, Sean Murphy and Seamus Murphy all netted to give Carlow a 3-7 to 0-1 interval lead and they took their foot off the gas in the second half as the Emerald Grounds pitch deteriorated.
