Ormonde goal sends Our Lady's to decider
Our Lady's 1-15 Nenagh CBS 0-14
Our Lady's Templemore progressed to the Harty Cup final for the second year running after getting the better of rivals Nenagh CBS in Toomevara on Saturday.
The 10 players on view between the schools who won All-Ireland minor championship medals with Tipperary in 2016 ensured a huge crowd for this derby clash.
It was short on quality but high on intensity and Andrew Ormonde's 16th-minute goal proved to be the difference between the sides.
Nenagh played with the breeze initially, but after a slow start - in which they trailed 0-5 to 0-2 - they fought back to level when Ormonde goaled.
At the other end, Templemore keeper Eoin Collins saved well to deny Bryan McLoughney on the stroke of half-time, as Templemore led 1-7 to 0-8.
Templemore stayed in front in the second-half and while Nenagh refused to yield, late scores from man of the match Stevie Nolan, Lyndon Fairbrother and Jerry Kelly saw them home.
