Roscommon concluded the group stages of the League unbeaten with an easy victory at Athleague yesterday.
Two goals from full-forward Ronan O'Meara - in the 13th and 22nd minutes - gave the home side a cushion they never relinquished.
Though Damien Casey helped himself to 1-7 for the Ulster side, Tyrone never looked like winning this contest.
Their task was made all the harder when they lost Chris Cross to a second yellow card on 39 minutes.
Roscommon eased to a 2-8 to 0-6 lead by the break and though Casey blasted a free to the net on 43 minutes, an immediate response for Roscommon through an Adrian Murphy goal and a flick to the net by Naos Connaughton on 59 minutes saw Justin Campbell's charges maintain their healthy advantage.
Tyrone tagged on late scores from Damien Casey, Ciaran McNulty and Peadar Daly but were comprehensively beaten.
The Red Hands now face a relegation playoff while Roscommon play Monaghan in next Saturday's league final.
