Munster Council expecting bumper crowd for Limerick-Tipp Gaelic Grounds clash
The eagerly anticipated Munster SHC semi-final clash between Limerick and Tipperary is set to attract a bumper crowd to the Gaelic Grounds on Sunday.
Munster chiefs confirmed last night that all 20,000 seated stand tickets had been sold, with 6,000 more snapping up terrace tickets.
Early estimates suggest attendance will exceed 30,000 but that could rise sharply should the weather prove favourable.
"There is plenty of excitement and this has been a close game in the last two years," Munster Council PRO Ger Ryan explained.
"There are 26,000 tickets sold already and there will be a number of walk-ups."
The province's top brass are urging supporters to purchase tickets in advance for the clash between TJ Ryan's Treaty and Eamon O'Shea's Tipp.
