Mixed reaction as Tipperary hurler reveals he is voting No in Marriage Referendum

Tipperary hurling star Kieran Bergin has revealed he will be voting NO in the upcoming Marriage Referendum.

While the GPA and the WGPA revealed they would be backing a Yes vote, Bergin has bucked the GAA trend with a quote from the Tipp man appearing on a leaflet backing a No vote.

Ciaran Lyng brought the aforementioned leaflet to the fore when he tweeted: "First 'No' leaflet I've seen. Important reminder to do everything you can for final two weeks for a Yes vote. #MarRef."

Within that tweet was a pic with a quote from Bergin saying: “I’m voting No! Marriage can only be the union of a man and a woman.”

There has been mixed reaction on social media to Bergin's stance.
