Armagh left it late to salvage a point after flirting with disaster at the Athletic Grounds yesterday.

London were coasting to victory when they led by 1-13 to 0-12 in added-time but the home side plundered a goal through Caily Gorman and a point from Eoin McGuinness to rescue a draw.

Armagh manager Sylvester McConnell said: "At times we didn't turn up. But we still managed to show a lot of character. We had to get something out of this game and we did in the end."

Armagh led by 0-6 to 0-3 midway through the first half with Conor Corvan and David Carvill to the fore in the scoring stakes before Daryl Roberts got a goal for London.

Armagh held a 0-8 to 1-4 interval lead and the sides were deadlocked ten minutes into the second-half at 1-6 to 0-9.

London then swept over five unanswered points and looked set to gallop down the home straight before Armagh fought back.
