Maiden Meagher victory for Cavan
Cavan 4-17 Fermanagh 0-17
It was goals that counted as Cavan's renaissance in senior hurling got a boost in Lisbellaw.
Competing at intercounty level for the first time since 2011, the Breffni were good value for their first-ever Lory Meagher cup victory with Kevin Conneely's fourth minute goal setting the tone for what was to follow.
Cuala's All-Ireland club medallist Colum Sheanon proved to be the stand-out player on the field and once he scored Cavan's fourth goal 22 minutes into the second half, the deal was done.
