Lynch to the fore as Louth finish with a flourish to see off Sligo
Louth 0-22 Sligo 1-15
A strong finish from Louth saw them overcome a brave Sligo team in Darver.
Kevin Gilmartin's goal gave Sligo the early advantage but Diarmuid Murphy got the home side back into the game with some accurate free taking.
Louth went three points clear after half an hour thanks to a well taken Paddy Lynch point and things went from bad to worse for Sligo as Gilmartin was sent off.
Sligo trailed 0-12 to 1-5 at half-time, but they dominated the opening ten minutes of the second period before taking the lead with a score from on song Keith Raymond.
The game was in the balance until the final five minutes but Louth finished strongly with five points in a row including an excellent Lynch score to secure victory.
