Declan Loughane, sacked as Sligo boss during the week, started in goals on Saturday and kept a clean sheet at Markievicz Park as three goals from Kevin Gilmartin ensured victory for the Yeats County.

Lancashire got to within a single point but goals from Eamon Kilgannon before Gilmartin's settled it with his third of the contest.

Corrigan lifts Fermanagh

FERMANAGH 5-13 LEITRIM 2-21

Fermanagh and Leitrim served up an incredible game at Brewster Park.

The home side looked dead and buried with just eight minutes remaining but some outstanding play from the unmarkable Sean Corrigan inspired Fermanagh from six points down to claim the two points on offer. Corrigan hit 1-3 late on in a match tally of 3-8..

Watson’s quality  blows Cavan away

Former Antrim star Liam Watson rained on Cavan’s parade as Warwickshire coasted to victory.

Once he scored the first of his two goals in the 32nd minute, only the victory margin was in doubt.
