Kickhams surge to glory
Kickhams Creggan 2-12 Eire Og Carrickmore 1-7
Antrim champions Creggan swept to a first Ulster IHC triumph with an eight-point win over Eire Og of Tyrone at Owenbeg.
Conor McCann scored just once, but he was the man that made the entire forward line tick, while Oran McCann, Kevin Rice and Conor Small all contributed classy scores as they tormented the Carrickmore defence.
McCann fired in a superb individual goal on 20 minutes to open up a seven-point lead that was to grow to 11, before Sean Og Grogan pulled back an Eire Og goal in stoppage time.
Kickhams led by 1-9 to 1-2 at the break, before the Tyrone men staged a third-quarter flourish with scores from Justin Kelly, Aidan Kelly and Grogan.
But Creggan effectively killed the game off with a second goal from Conor Small, who drilled low to the net for a decisive score from Conor McCann's assist.
Carrickmore also finished with 14 men on the pitch following the straight red card dismissal of substitute Dean Rafferty a minute from the end.
