Keegan stars for Celbridge
Celbridge were far too strong for Naas as they lifted their seventh county title, and sixth since 2005, in Newbridge.
Celbridge 0-17 Naas 1-8
A young Naas team never got going - Jack Sheridan was their only scorer.
With Kildare senior footballer Fergal Conway in midfield, Celbridge took a hold on proceedings early on and led by 0-5 to 0-1 after 12 minutes.
Gerry Keegan already had two of his final tally of 10 points by that stage and he scored the next two point of the game to give Celbridge a 0-10 to 0-3 lead at the break.
There was more urgency in Naas' play in the second half and Sheridan scored five of the first seven points after the restart to cut the margin back to four but that was the best that they had to offer.
Billy White set up brother Sam for a score in the 44th minute to get Celbridge back on track and Billy himself and Keegan shot over inspirational scores from play as the gulf in class became more evident.
Naas pulled back a goal in injury-time when Sheridan's 20-metre free rolled over the line but they were reduced to 14 men late on when Kieran Maher saw red for a late challenge.
