'It was a slip of the tongue': John 'Bubbles' O'Dwyer apologies for live television F-word

It was a true tale of redemption for John 'Bubbles' O'Dwyer at Croke Park yesterday.
The Tipperary forward was famously denied winning the All-Ireland for his team by Hawkeye in the 2014 final but yesterday, O'Dwyer played exceptionally well as the Premier County reclaimed the Liam McCarthy cup for the first time since 2010.
His second half goal turned the game on its head and started the Tipperary surge that saw them end Kilkenny's three in-a-row bid.
Bubbles was interviewed by RTE immediately after the game and his excitement got the better of him, screaming that Tipperary were 'the champions of f*****g Ireland'.
Most people forgave O'Dwyer's indiscretion but the 2014 All Star still felt the need to issue an apology on Twitter this morning, sharing a joke with Michael Conlan in the process.
He later told Ray D'Arcy on RTE Radio One that the four letter word was just a 'slip of the tongue'.
