Henry Shefflin: Kilkenny's lesser lights have more firepower and should claim All-Ireland
Kilkenny's most decorated hurler Henry Shefflin is expecting a titanic battle in the All-Ireland Final on Sunday, but is tipping the Cats to retain the Liam McCarthy Cup.
Just as in 2012, Galway will provide the opposition as Brian Cody goes in search of more silverware.
The likes of Joe Canning, Cathal Mannion, TJ Reid and Richie Hogan have been the focus of attention all week, but Shefflin believes it could be the impact of a less-heralded player that could make all the difference.
"The big question for Galway is, can they do one more performance at that level?" he told Independent.ie
"If some of the top players are held on both teams, I think the lesser lights, the other team-mates, I think Kilkenny have that bit more firepower.
"I think they will have enough to win it."
