Donegal booked their place in the division final against Tyrone after a convincing victory over Louth at Darver.

Ardal McDermott's side were favourites going into this game against a winless Louth and after a slow start they took the lead in the 10th minute through a David Flynn goal.

To Louth's credit they finished the half strongly with David Stephenson smashing the ball into the net to make it 1-10 to 2-9 at the break.

However, Donegal had a stiff breeze at their backs for the second-half and used it well, Flynn scoring seven points in 15 minutes.

Louth rallied late on but the men from Donegal were not to be denied.
