Duffy strike seals it for Fermanagh
Fermanagh 2-16 Lancashire 3-9
A brilliant individual goal from half back Barry Duffy sealed back-to-back wins for Fermanagh in the Lory Meagher Cup.
Making the trip across the Irish Sea, they returned with their 100pc record intact. The home side, however, were the better team for the opening 15 minutes with a Colm O'Callaghan goal helping them into a five-point lead.
Fermanagh, however, are a team on a mission and they dug deep to claw their way back with a 17th-minute Ciaran Corrigan goal putting them back on level terms.
From that point on they were the better team and always held a cushion with Kevin McGarry and John Duffy pointing the way.
Lancashire did hit two second-half goals through Alan Morrissey and Kelvin Magee, but it was not enough as Duffy's wonder strike, after a searing run from his own defence, sealed the win.
