A fourth successive league defeat sees Derry one step away from relegation. They may have finished just three points behind London, but in truth the exiles won comfortably.
Derry free-taker Ruairi Convery had a wretched day on the frees, sending six wide. When Alan Grant took over the role he had 100pc from four attempts.
One of the few highlights in a poor game was provided by London 'keeper Eoin Kelly who pointed a wind-assisted free from well over 100 metres.
That score in the 21st minute pushed London into a 0-8 to 0-2 lead. By half-time they led by double scores 0-10 to 0-5, with accurate free-taker Kevin O'Loughlin and powerful half-forward Martin Duggan to the fore.
Derry did not get their first score from open play until the 42nd minute through Tiernan McCloskey and within seconds his Banagher club mate Johnny O'Dwyer whipped over another to leave just two points in it.
But that was as good as it got for the home team..
