Despite earning another opportunity for back-to-back League successes with a last-gasp free, current All-Star Shanahan must settle for a place among the replacements in Thurles as Devine is rewarded for his action-packed display off the bench last Sunday.

The Modeligo forward comes in for Colin Dunford having made a big impression with his pace piercing holes in a tiring Banner defence after his early second-half substitution.

Shane Fives has been named in Derek McGrath's side but there are doubts about whether he will play due to an ankle problem.

Clare, meanwhile, also named an an unchanged team late last night to the one which started last week's drawn game.

Elsewhere, former Kerry captain Kieran O'Leary has been dropped from the Kerry panel as Eamonn Fitzmaurice looks to help his team rebound from their heavy league final defeat to Dublin last month.
