The 2007 All-Ireland intermediate winners dominated in the west London haze, with captain Michael Fitzpatrick finding the net after just seven minutes.

St Gabriel's skipper Martin Ryan also raised the green flag but it came at the wrong end as he turned Eoin Chawke's low ball past his own goalkeeper James Barrett. And he was at fault for Emmetts' third goal on the stroke of half-time when he fumbled Chawke's free into his own net.

Trailing 3-4 to 0-4 at the interval, Michael Ivors gave Gabriel's hope when he lashed a shot into the top corner but they were kept at arm's length by Chawke, who scored all six of Emmetts' second-half points.
