Cormac Behan and Joe McHugh ran riot against Fermanagh to keep Sligo remain on course for a third successive Lory Meagher Cup final.

A win in Leitrim next Saturday will give the 2015 and '16 runners-up another Croke Park date. Limerick native Behan, who scored 2-8, and McHugh, scorer of 2-1, were Sligo's attacking stars,.

Breeze-backed Sligo led 2-10 to 0-5 at half-time, with goals came from Gerard O'Kelly-Lynch, who slalomed through an obliging defence, and McHugh, from Liam Reidy's clever assist.

Fermanagh's only first-half response came from free-taker Sean Corrigan.

Sligo killed the game with three goals inside the first 12 minutes of the second half: McHugh grabbed his second with a close-range finish and then Behan netted twice - a point attempt from a free that deceived everyone, then a penalty.

Fermanagh pulled back late goals from Shea Curran and substitute Brian Jones.
