Westmeath sharpshooter John Heslin was in unbelievably good scoring form for his club side St Loman's last night.

Heslin hit an amazing 3-9 as the Westmeath champions beat The Downs by 3-23 to 0-5 to reach the county semi-final, with 2-6 coming from play and his third goal coming from a penalty.

He famously scored 2-18 in last year's semi-final victory over Garrycastle with 14 points coming from placed balls.
