Dubbed as ‘The Mill at the Hill’ after Mayo’s warm-up in front of Hill 16 caused consternation before the game even began, and the events on the pitch in the 2006 All-Ireland SFC semi-final didn’t disappoint either.
Ciarán McDonald capped off a remarkable comeback for Mayo by kicking the winning score after they had earlier trailed by seven points, 2-11 to 0-10, with 46 minutes played.
