And the prize for the most passionate fan of the weekend goes to.....Roscommon diehard Paddy Joe Burke.

Kevin McStay's Rossies secured their first Connacht football title since 2010 with an emphatic and memorable nine-point thrashing of Galway on Sunday to spark chaotic celebrations in Pearse Stadium.

Paddy Joe Burke was there and a video shared on social media by Marty Morrisey shows just what it means to him for the Rossies to capture the Nestor Cup.

Burke, a hairdresser by trade, was given more reasons to celebrate when Roscommon Secretary Brian Carroll brought the Cup and a host of Roscommon players to his place of work last night, Paddy Joe Barbers.

"I organised to go in with about 14/15 players and we had brilliant craic. I know him a long time and he got a surprise," Carroll told Independent.ie.
