Tomás Ó Sé says that Dublin defender Philly McMahon "has a case to answer" following an alleged eye gouging incident in Dublin's All Ireland win over Kerry today.

McMahon, who scored a point in Dublin's 0-12 to 0-9 All-Ireland triumph, has been targeted on Twitter after video evidence suggested he gouged the eye of Kerry skipper Kieran Donaghy.

Donaghy came on as a second half substitute in the game but failed to inspire the Kingdom to a revival.

Speaking on the Sunday Game, Ó Sé said: “On a night like this you don’t want to be highlighting stuff like this and I personally think it’s wrong to be highlighting it on a night like this but there is an issue. There’s a case to be answered.”

Speaking after the game, McMahon told Sunday Sport on RTE Radio One: "The atmosphere was amazing, the fans were brilliant and I'm glad we gave them their reward.

"Both sides had to play in these conditions but we stuck to our system throughout the game.

"The subs were massive, the competition in the team is really good."
