Sean O'Mahony's GAA Club in Louth have been celebrating their first ever senior county title for a little over a week now.

The players have been taking the Joe Ward Cup to schools, nursing homes and pubs over the last week after beating Ardee St Mary's last weekend by 1-11 to 1-09.

The local parish priest, Fr Michael Cusack invited the squad to bring the trophy to church and join in a novena at the local church yesterday morning.

The squad were encouraged to break into a rendition of club anthem ‘Grand Auld Team To Play For’ in front of the packed audience and they duly obliged
