Tyrone All Star and 2008 All-Ireland winner Justin McMahon has called time on his intercounty career after 10 years of senior football with The Red Hands.

McMahon informed Tyrone manager Mickey Harte of his decision less than a day after Harte was given a three-year contract extension by the Tyrone County Committee.

McMahon made his debut for Tyrone in 2007 and won five Ulster titles during his career. He leaves Colm Cavanagh as the sole survivor from the 2008 winning side following Sean Cavanagh's retirement last month.

McMahon will continue to play for his club Omagh St. Enda’s, with whom he won a Tyrone Senior Championship in 2014.
