Three weeks out for Cullen and Brogan

BERNARD Brogan and Bryan Cullen are expected to be back in action within three weeks after suffering injuries that proved so costly to Dublin in the league final.
Brogan pulled his hamstring and Cullen tweaked his back, but neither is expected to be out long-term. However, it will affect their clubs immediately as they will both miss out on the first round of the Dublin senior (Brogan with St Oliver Plunkett's) and intermediate (Cullen, Skerries Harps) championships next week.
The most serious injury arising from last weekend's Allianz league finals could yet be that to Cork defender John Miskella.
He suffered a severe back spasm and had to be carried off the pitch and though the problem subsided, he travelled home by car after instead of joining his victorious team-mates on their bus.
Miskella's most recent injury problems were groin-related but he has had back problems before, and it is expected to be a few days before Cork know the extent of his injury.
There were fears that Fintan Goold had injured his shoulder in one particularly bone-crunching tackle but he was actually taken off with a pulled leg muscle that is not too serious.
Paul Kerrigan suffered a recurrence of the hamstring problem that had made him doubtful in the run-up to the game.
