Fans of Westmeath, Kildare, Dublin and Meath were probably torn at the final whistle of Ireland's historic 1-0 win over Italy last night.

The victory meant that the team advance to face France in the last 16 of the tournament at 2pm in Lyon on Sunday. However, the Leinster football semi-final double header had been scheduled to clash with the game, with Kildare v Westmeath set to go ahead at 2pm and Dublin v Meath set to throw in at 4pm.

Thankfully, the Leinster Council has seen sense and pushed back both games.

According to Westmeath GAA, the first game will now start at 4.15pm, with the Dublin game now going ahead at 6.30pm.

What a weekend of sport we have ahead of us now, with huge games in rugby, football and GAA.
