Leitrim sharpshooter Emlyn Mulligan is facing another long spell on the sidelines after suffering another knee injury.

The former Sligo Rovers star has been a marquee forward for Leitrim in recent seasons and is a massive loss ahead of his county's Connacht quarter-final against London on May 28 in Ruislip.

Back in 2009 and 2010 Mulligan spent time on the sideline with the same injury.

Mulligan recently transferred back to home club Melvin Gaels from the St Brigid's club in Dublin.

He tweeted today: "Once was bad, never mind twice, but 3 times.... Someone is punishing me from up above. More cruciate's torn than trophies won in my career."
